Lauren Rose Beck
Lauren Rose Beck is an award winning writer, director and producer who is passionate about promoting uniquely Australian content to international markets. Lauren created the groundbreaking ABC TV series ‘Prepping Australia’, which uncovered the secretive world of Australia’s Doomsday Preppers. The series saw Lauren nominated for best director at the Australian Director’s Guild awards in 2023.
Lauren’s documentary series ‘After the Lockout’, which explored the aftermath of Sydney’s liquor license reform won best documentary at Sydney Webfest and was nominated for best series at Melbourne Webfest. Lauren was also selected as one of six national recipients of the AIDC Access Mentorship Prize, where they were mentored by Academy members Bridget Iken and Leo S. Chiang. Lauren went on to win the Judith Nelson Institute of Journalism documentary prize, as well as the converted Beach House pictures internship in Singapore.
